A liberal hater in Cali, must be tough to be you. Oh course, most folks who build anti-liberal sites like this one have no Idea what liberalism is all about. Unfortunately, they read Ann Coulter or listen to Limbaugh and somehow think they should have an opinion.

You liberals are always the same. Yes, I've read one of Ann C's books, it was funny. I can't stand Rush, and never listen to him, and I used to be a "liberal", until I grew a brain. So, I know all about them.

Since you mentioned it, and since you were trying to fix it: The plural of fetus would just be fetuses.
At any rate, Jenn, maybe the unidentified rumbling had something to do with that bomb they were going to test sometime this week.
Nah, that is out in Nevada near Vegas. And if we felt it that strongly here, WHOA, that's some freakin' bomb. Good guess though.
There have been instances where a local USGS wasn't able to "see" a temblor because a seismograph malfunctioned; but you said there was no mention of it at all on the USGS site? That would mean - oh, my gosh - Cheney must have malfunctioned all of the seismographs at once!
Pretty neat trick for an administration that is constantly lambasted for being "ignorant cowboys."

- Halliburton told Cheney to have Bush shake the Earth.........Hey, he's powerful enough to cause Global Warming, Tsunamis and Hurricanes all by himself, so why not earthquakes?
- Howard Dean held a secret DNC meeting in the town, and everyone in attendance pulled their head out of their ass at once.
- Rosanne Barr was singing the National Anthem again at one of the California hometeam's opening day game.
- The Heaven's Gate whackos returned, riding in on the Hale Bot Comet.
Just a few possibilities.......I tend to think it was the second one.

Matt. V. It was pretty strong. I felt it as did everyone here at the office. My 'rents up there where you live felt it, and the hubby felt it at our place in UTC, he said it rolled through, and the windows almost buckled. That's how he described it.
Felt like an earthquake to me, but the USGS people said nope. Weird.
Well I'm no conspericy theorist but I know what one would tell you. They would say:
It was Bush and the Jews trying to collapse your office building because it was a competitior of Haliburton. I can prove this because I saw all the FACTS on bushissatan.com, which is a COMPLETELY unbiased news source that I refer to all the time. The reasoning connecting these two is obviously that Bush is in league with Osama Bin Laden because he wanted to go to Iraq for oil so he had Osama attack the WTC and he's going after other buildings now because he wants money from the insurance company.
If you think that's ridicolous let me just say I've had people who posted more ridicolous things on my blog, and they were serious.

Could it have been a sonic boom? We occasionally get these when a military jet flies too close and/or too fast.
They feel like a minor earthquake (at least from what I've heard, I've experienced plenty of sonic booms, but slept through the only earthquake I've experienced). This would especially explain the window rattling. One easy test to eliminate this theory is noise – was there a big sound similar to thunder? If not, scratch this theory.
