The smart people left N.O. before the storm hit and have no reason to return. They bussed the trash back in to vote. Louisiana used to have the best politicians money could buy, I guess the dollar doesnt go very far anymore.

Testing for voters I agree 100%. These crazy ass people must have been paid to vote for that fool.

I have to pause and wonder if this was the lesser of two evils. Considering the DNC and Howard Dean were pushing the Lt. Gov. Maybe it was a choice of we know what kinda idiot he is but hey look wat the Lt. did for us.
Otherwise its just that they are asking for more of the same.

Maybe this would have been one of those cases of "abstaining?" That would have sent a clearer message.

Abstaining hell, Donald Duck would have been a better write-in candidate. Or maybe Huey, Duey or Luey

The voting public is stupid, anywhere.
They elect Celebrities, Kennedy's, and Morons into office on a regular basis. Not to mention the saying "if voting could actually change something, it would be illegal".

The three Dems that were running the show at the time of the hurricane were, in fact, Heuy, Duey, and Luey.
If I'd been one of those people (actually, I wouldn't have been because I would have beat feet) I would have written-in that one general that came in to clean things up. I can't remember his name, but he was gruff, he hit the ground running, he GD'd EVERYBODY, and he'd walk out of news conferences after cussing out the reporters and saying things like "I don't have time for these damn-fool idiots - I've got work to do"! God! I LOVED that man!
