As you probably didn't bother to think about, those who are stockholders in companies get insider information at shareholder meetings that is not always disclosed to the public or by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
When making a documentary, you investigate and get all the information possible on a company you're exposing, hence the Haliburton stock.
Sure his movies are slanted, but most of what he reports is based on the facts, whether you like the way it's presented or not.

As to his propaganda being based on fact - hardly. Miss Jenn is correct. I'll never forget when he asked a Senator if he'd send his child to die in the war. The guy responded something like "oh yes - my nephew is serving - we're very proud!". This response was, of course, cut from the movie.
Oh, I remember that....he did that all through the "movie".
But that was one of the most disgusting low points.
Another bummer about that movie was when it was released overseas I happened to be in Moscow at the time.
The grownups caught onto it right away and dismissed it as propaganda, being VERY used to such things under the former Soviet system. They found the entire "film" pretty amusing.
The kids (teenagers) however, walked out in shock and made statements such as, "I never knew how truly EVIL the United States truly is."
It was unfortunate and I can only hope that their parents were able to talk some sense into them - but you know teenagers! They know EVERYTHING and their parents don't know ANYTHING!

There are a lot of kids where I live all ages, one of them, a teenager, maybe 15? He was talking to his friends and he said something like," So it turns out Saddam was a good guy and Bush made us go to war with him for oil."

Well isn't that WONDERFUL Mike, by the very definition a FACT == TRUE... so you're really not answering the charge because your qualifying your movie with the provision that IF there are facts in here... they are true.
