I'm pretty set in my ways, but I'll listen to a good idea or possible solution regardless of the originating ideological camp. However, I get real resistant toward those who can only perpetuate obstructionism. "I'm not a Republican/conservative," is not an idea or solution.

Jenn, over a period of 31 years active duty Army I've been in the mud and smelled real bad, but it wasn't from checking out liberal blogs. Forgive me if I don't accompany you in your scouting expeditions, though I will help freshen you up and encourage you when you get back. As for the having fun part; I no longer enjoy any experiences associated with attempting to communicate with dhimmi-liberals. I guess you'll have to evaulate whether the gain is worth the "fun" you must endure.

Funny you bring this up because back on May 23rd Wade Jessen was on MSNBC talking about them:

Yes I saw the news release that said they were No 1. However when you go to Billboard Hot 100, Top 200, and Country charts the DCs are nowhere to be seen. Can you explain this to me?

Clearly, you know nothing of the music business. Pent up demand in their fan base might explain a solid first week. However, week-over-week revenue declines (or growth) are the real measure of success - just like the movie business. Given the lack of airplay - if it holds - I'll bet they don't go platinum. If I'm wrong, well, these things happen.
Forgetting all the industry chat, their spin team (aka press team) are using the past controvery to increase awareness of the current album. That effort probably had a major impact of driving first week sales.

Also, when I did read it the hate and profanity spewed by both sides was enough to almost make me not want to post on the subject. I did end up posting but I made it clear that I would not respond to any of the crap going on in the above thread.
When I see people arguing I don't automatically jump in and take sides. I think it's often best to let people work out things. What was going on between you and chasingmoksha was personal, not political.
