then unleash the ROK Army and let them do what they've been capable of doing for at least the past 25 years.
It won't be pretty and it will make most of the wars fought since 1950-53 look like skirmishes by comparison, but it's either that or burn the northern half of that peninsula down with nuclear fire.
Use North Korea as our next bomb test range. We can try it out by disposing of every tommohawk cruise missile that we have, in order to upgrade to better ones! Then the ROK's can go clean house and reunite the peninsula.
Not “test” but use our missile defense system, in this event most likely the sea-based assets. Beyond that I am not sure. It would make the leap from being mostly a State Department issue to a joint State-DOD issue. There is not a whole lot we can do, the country is already in the crapper. Although, their development facilities are much more tightly grouped than those in Iran. We could destroy those sites, but obviously that would ruffle some feathers in the area.
But I do like the idea of showing our military power for all to see, however this will pull China into the situation. It is a tough one. But shooting down the missile would not be an attack on NK and therefore I think that is the best step to take for the moment.
I can tell you what we should NOT, I repeat NOT, do. Ask Albright for her opinion on how to deal with them.

It would be an important contrast in styles of leadership.

Its sad how much world leaders are exactly like toddlers. Kimmy's upset the new little brother Ahmhedenjad is getting all of Uncle Sam's attention lately so he has to throw a tantrum and crayon the walls to let Uncle know he is still around.
