On a lighter note - I think we're past the worst of the rain out here and are drying out. Half the government was closed down though because of the rain.

Uh, there are bigger things happening in the world than an obvious PR stunt to be run in the MSM.
You know, like the Star Jones scuffle, which was on every station last night.
But seriously, why should the MSM have an obligation to show a fluff piece like this when there are obviously bigger things happening out of Washington? It's not like this is the first time he's jogged with a guy who's had his legs blown off in Iraq. There were three - count them, three - other times he's done this that were reported and equally as "Mission Accomplished" in style.
You guys act like this should be front-page news when he jogged one-eight of a mile with a guy just long enough for a photo.
How's this for front-page news:

Yeah, that's right, Jenn. I liked your soap box the other day about how the NY Times is the devil. I like how the Republicans are wasting precious time constructing legislation to take action against the NY Times. I like how Bush has decried that action needs to be taken against the NY Times.
Especially when Bush himself, 126 times publicly, has talked about the program in speeches. I like love how there is a damn Web site that anyone can go to in order to see, firsthand, the "secret" financial information tapping scheme. I like how the scheme even has its own magazine.

And yet, you still hear Bush and the republicans talking about how sensitive that information was and how the NY Times should be held responsible for "leaking" information.

W should create an Executive Order - the pay of all active duty enlisted and officers doubled, retiree pensions doubled, death benefits quadrupled for survivors, all college paid for any survivying children, lower retirement time...there is so much we should be doing for our troops. When teachers salaries exceed enlisted personnel, something is wrong!
