I may be unhinged, but I don't think I'm a moonbat. Yes, I am embarrassed that Christianity has landed us the dumbest president in our history (one would like to see PROGRESS in this area). And the fact that Bush thinks he talks to God certainly makes him more unhinged than me. Moonbats, as far as I can tell, tend to believe in conspiracy theories...well isn't belief in god a conspiracy? No proof. An all-powerful invisible man who has no power to reveal himself...doesn't make sense. Just like 9/11 conspiracies offer no proof and make no sense. The Republican party is at the mercy of those who make no sense: The Religious Right. No. G.W. Bush was the first president that James Dobson ever endorsed... partly because Bush has cited his faith in speeches more than ANY president ever. By doing so, he locked up millions of evangelicals...completely brain-washed voters. Without this infusion of clueless voters, he NEVER would have been elected. Isn't it interesting that millions of hardcore Christians will vote for a president based on 2 issues that have NO effect on them whatsoever! Gay marriage and abortion. That gives the elected politician a free ticket to corruption. All they have to do is be against abortion and against gay marriage and the rest doesn't really matter. How pathetic. Funny song, but I don't agree with the guy's website. Not all Christians take the Bible literally. Take me for instance, I have two best friends. One is a Jew and the other is gay, and I do not believe they are sinners or they are going to Hell- no way! He is talking about the extreme religious right- but he's trying to say all religious people are like that and they are not. Certain parts of the Bible are completely outdated, yes, but only b/c of when it was written. There is always room for interpretation.
