This Is Not A Democracy, It's A Republic........

Gravatar Someone watches too much "How I met your mother"!

Gravatar I wonder if the national news will report the fact that actual Americans would like those jobs.

Gravatar losing the argument never stopped the mooners before.

-Go Legals

Gravatar Thats wonderful Jenn, simiply amazzing! Did we not say that the other day on the radio? we are ahead of the MSM jenn!

Gravatar No kidding Dave....We did say that when Steve was on.

Round them up ship them out!!!

James... "How I met your Mother"? Is that a new show? I don't watch much T.V.

I like Scrubs which is never on, Earl, The Office, Bones,Jericho, the Original CSI and Men in Trees. None of which I watch religiously.

I'll take a good book anyday.

Gravatar Oh man... I was kinda hoping the legal ones would come up here... were kind of desperate for people.... um... that understand english of course.

Gravatar Um, we don' have many left that do.

Driving home from work today, sitting in traffic, I thought.....what freakin' country am I in?

Gravatar "I thought.....what freakin' country am I in?"

You're in the land of treasonous democrats, spineless republicans and reenergized commies. Great place huh? If you click your heels together twice maybe you'll end up in Cancun.

You know, we could just let them all in, then we all move to Mexico. In no time at all Mexico will become a thriving economic and military powerhouse and the U.S. will be a third world rathole.

Gravatar The U.S. is well on it's way to third world rathole status. Thnaks to open border Dems. And do nothing Repukes.

Before I drove all the way home, I stopped by Linen's and Things for a turkey roasting thingy.

I was the only person there speaking English. This is not debatable. Of the approx. 15 people in the store, and the conversations overheard, I was the only American speaking person there....

COME THE FECK ON!!!!!!

I have THE solution, take all the Jews out of Israel, give it to the "palestinians"(left over Arabs that they are, and notice, I didn't say give it BACK, I said give it...),and move all the Jews to Mexico. They'll have the whole country spinning like clockwork in a matter of years, a few, short years. Problem solved. On both sides of the border.

Gravatar Thanks for posting this Jenn. I know I would never have seen this in the Washington Post or any of the alphabet soup channels.

It's f-ing amazing!!!!

Yes, it certainly is!!

President Bush, call your office.

Gravatar I was just in shock when I read this! You mean Legal, American Citizens lined up for jobs? I thought we were just too good for that?

Wow, it is f-ing amazing!!!!

Gravatar I'm still holding out for the $50 an hour job picking lettuce that Senator McCain promised...

Gravatar Yeah.. like that will ever happen. When I was a kid, parents actually made their kids get jobs. We did the crap no one wanted to do.

Gravatar Brilliant!

Total proof that illegal immigrants STEAL jobs from Americans.

Thanks for reporting it.

Gravatar Hey, it's Bush & Co. who came up with the slogan "Jobs American's Won't Do." It's their big biz mantra. You can't pin this on dems or the left.

Gravatar If the line of aplicants are lining up outside the door, what does that say for the economy, and Bush & Co.'s fake stats?

Gravatar Driving home the other day (ok, everyday) there are Mexican National license plates on three out of seven cars. Two more are expired tags, driven by persons of Mexican descent, and the last two are running scared because if any of the other five hit them, they know there's no insurnace behind those five wheels...

I need to fins an old Abrams to drive to and from work. I'll bet I wouldn't have traffic issues then...

Gravatar Cary, you need to watch the road.

Gravatar You can watch it all you want. They drive shite cars and drive like shite.

Gravatar I say let the illegal Mexicans work in the US…but first, they must join our army.

Talk about killing too two birds (and a few terrorists) with one stone!

Gravatar I wonder how many of those proud Americans are ridiculously overqualified for those jobs, but must settle for them because their corporate employer outsourced all their professional jobs overseas.

Swarms of Americans fighting for migrant-level jobs is NOT the sign of a strong economy, or of American can-do. It's a sign of bitter desperation.

Gravatar I wonder how many of those proud Americans are ridiculously overqualified for those jobs

Probably not anymore than the people who were just qualified enough and in the country legally, however, were cheated out of these jobs by dishonest law-breakers (guilty of breaking and entering)and who chose not to get in line and wait like the respectful folks who chose to do it the right way.

their corporate employer outsourced all their professional jobs overseas.

Agreed. If the country was a tax haven and not a ridiculous tax burden, companies would, more than likely, keep their operations in the U.S. The federal income tax is a colossal and abysmal failure and confuses the hell out of everyone. But, I'll save that discussion for different post on a different day. Dont' want to get off topic.

Gravatar I wonder how many of those proud Americans are ridiculously overqualified for those jobs, but must settle for them because their corporate employer outsourced all their professional jobs overseas.

Ahhhhh, I love the smell of moonbat in the morning.

Gravatar You mean the stench?

Gravatar "Ahhhhh, I love the smell of moonbat in the morning."

Ouch! I might have to reconsider my position after reading that! Such a reasoned rebuttal.

U.S. corporations currently incur no penalties for, say, opening a mailbox in the Cayman Islands and claiming that as their headquarters for a tax shelter. Many companies do this to avoid the already ridiculous loopholes in the U.S. Tax Code that cause even large holdings to receive millions of dollars in cuts (and even rebates). Meanwhile, bottom tax brackets (i.e., lower-middle-class people) pay the highest percentage of taxes, both income and payroll. That, to me, is the real burden.

Gravatar I'll have a bit of what you are smoking.....

Again, it's early but let me see if I've got this right....you seem to think that people like myself, the lower end middle class pay more in taxes than the large corps and upper class???? I mean is that what you are saying??? LOL. Dear Ian, please revisit remedial econ. Thanks.
http://usgovinfo.about.com/od/ in...whopaysmost.htm

Gravatar Jenn,

Your link says nothing of the percentages Ian is talking about. It goes without saying that high income taxes will pay more in taxes in the absolute sense.

There are things said about what tax rates for lower income families are projected to do but there's no hard data.

If I get time, I may have to look at effective tax rate data. That or if Ian has something he is working off of, I'd be interested in seeing that as well.

Swarms of Americans fighting for migrant-level jobs is NOT the sign of a strong economy, or of American can-do. It's a sign of bitter desperation.

Is he wrong? I'm open to explanations that involve something other than moonbattery.

Gravatar I meant to say "high income earners pay more in taxes". I need my coffee.

Gravatar And they pay a higher PERCENTAGE, by far.

"Swarms of Americans fighting for migrant-level jobs is NOT the sign of a strong economy..."

Ah, but the rub here was that these were well paying UNION jobs. And the myth, which it is, a myth, that day laborers get paid under min wage is just that, a myth. In fact many "lettuce pickers" get paid by the bushel, and average well, WELL!!! over min wage.

Having known and lived "with" over 50 illegals (yes I called immigration, like they ever do anything.. thought they did come once...)they live in what "appears" to be povery, yet have cars full of expensive crap, and nicer clothes than I do... they send most of their money home .

The real villian here is the Mexican government for not providing for their own and depending on us to supply their people with work and supply their economy with money. There is no excuse for Mexico to be a thrid world country, NONE.

Gravatar Is he wrong? I'm open to explanations that involve something other than moonbattery.

Well I see it along the same lines as someone who claims Wal-Mart crushes their workers and treats them like dogfood...

When our economy is soaring, and unemployment is at an all time low, and there are still lines of 4000+ people lined up at the new Wal-Mart down the block for 600 jobs.

How can it be that our Economy is booming, and unemployment is down so low, yet people want to work @ Wal-Mart?

My sister-in-law works at Wal-Mart and she says it would take an AMAZING job to get her to quit. She has excellent benefits and can work as much or as little as she wishes.

I've seen and heard reports from independent researchers (links not available as I didn't think to save them when I read them) that showed many, many companies shipping low paying jobs overseas and creating better paying less "back breaking" jobs in the US.

What's so wrong with helping out a country in the middle of a MAJOR industrial revolution.

Gravatar Ah, but the rub here was that these were well paying UNION jobs. And the myth, which it is, a myth, that day laborers get paid under min wage is just that, a myth.

I LOVE hearing from folks that somehow think factory workers get paid beans... a friend of mines husband works at a local glass factory and on a normal 12hr. shift pulls around $40 and hour... and on Holidays like Christmas, pulls in OVER $130 an hour. I would LOVE his paycheck.

Gravatar Dang, me too....

Gravatar The workers in the factory next door to a place where I often work get paid beans.

If union members don't get paid beans, well, hey, that's the point.

Gravatar One mans beans are another mans riches. What is your definition of "beans"?

I mean...in 2003 our gorcery store workers all went on strike... they were pissed off that the compnaies wanted them to pay 15 whole dollars a month rather than 10 for health care. Holy mackeral. Well, it came out then, that our friendly checkers and bagger were making well over 20 bucks an hour. Some less expierienced BAGGERS were only making a mere 17 or 18 but they'd get raises soon. And they were on t.v. whining baout low pay.

I crossed the picket lines like gang busters. In fact, I'd go twice in one day just for the pleasure of pissing off the union a-holes. 28 bucks an hour to scan my groceries. WHAT A JOKE!!!

Gravatar Simple solution: Don't like the job? Don't take it. Can't find work in your hometown (due to companies hiring border hopping criminals, or it's just a one horse wide spot in the road)? Move. Don't like these commons sense answers? Vote Democrat and let big brother take care of everything for you by taxing hard workers into your current situation.

In the meantime, blame Bush for your hamster dying, and all of your other woes.

FIRE AWAY MOONBATS!! WOO HOOOOOO!!!!

Gravatar You tell 'em J. Merry Christmas, look forward to chatting next week.

Gravatar JJ said: "Can't find work in your hometown (due to companies hiring border hopping criminals, or it's just a one horse wide spot in the road)? Move".

Hang on, so Americans need to move out of the way so illegals can work in America?

With respect, if illegals need jobs, the simple solution is for them to go home and get one.

Why is this America's problem?

Gravatar JJ,

when you get out and have the pleasure of looking for a job from assholes who could give a flying fuck that you've served for 20 years, come back and lecture us about moving outta the way so an illegal can get a job.

I served for 8 years and after Gulf War 1 ended and I came home. All the "support our troops" bollocks evaporated when it came to me finding a bullshit job before I went to college. I got more substantive credit for my service in the UK than I ever have in the US.

I wish you better luck in getting on your feet when you get out than I had. I've worked my ass off to get where I am today. And I can tell you that had I known what it would take, I probably would have stayed in.

So again, I wait for my lecture on the job hunt for when you get out and have some experience.

Gravatar So this is what you get for serving your country for 20 years, during the Bush Admin, no less?

Gravatar Kitty, the Bush admin hasn't been in for 20 years. When I got out it was Bill Clinton.

I don't blame Clinton. I blame all the flag waving, shallow numb-nuts who would have given me more credit for being a witress at pizza hut for 8 years rather than serving my country (on a ship- and not pizza).

Gravatar Kris - are you pretending to know that I meant "including" during the Bush Administration.

Can we address the point now?

The point being that we claim to support our troops, just not when they come back.
