Seeing as we have voters from both sides of the aisle (and a lot of them) in an outrage over this bill, it would be a good time to start a grassroots for TERM LIMITS for the senators. If there's one thing that has always burned my ass it's been seeing the same leftard or the same RINO get reelected to the Senate year after year after year. And with any luck the next few years will result in a massive bloodletting and purging of RINOs.
Okay, my rant's done. 
I'm all for term limits for senators. Perhaps then they would pay more attention to the wishes of those who put them in office!

Term limits were imposed by Congress upon the presidency after FDR because people worried about the president being able to garner too much power. The same is possible in our other elected offices, but you wouldn't expect Congress to vote for themselves to be out of a job after X amount of years, would you? It's a great idea, but I don't see it happening any time soon.
What would be nice would be if the people who pay close attention to American Idol would actually pay attention to politics and world affairs. I'm not saying they should eat, drink and breathe politics...just stay reasonably informed so they could make informed choices at the polls. Another pipe dream, I guess...
