You may have something here Jenn. If we invaded ourselves, that would present the UN with a dilemma. They would finally have to agree with a US foriegn policy decision. Maybe they would suggest a food for oil program which would then lower the price we pay at the pumps and alleviate the tortilla crisis they face in Mexico, thereby stemming the flow of illegals and removing the excuse for fighting over oil. A side benefit would be that "We could fight them here, so we don't have to fight them over there", which would ease the pressure on the airlines, thereby increasing the chances of cashing in on frequent flyer miles and reducing the chances of being bumped off a flight due to overbooking. Also, less international flights would shrink the airlines carbon footprint, help slow global warming and eliminate the excuse for any more speeches by Al Gore.
