I challenge anyone who reads this blog to show how Iran even comes close to the amount of terror waged by our lovely CIA. Anybody care to wager who has overthrown more democratically elected leaders around the world? CIA or Iran? Anybody? Anybody care to guess who has funded, trained, and equipped more death squads around the world? Iran or the CIA?

I would like to extend my pre-emptive lester response to Dave and orion.
Since 9/11, 9,618 terror attacks have been carried out in just about every country on the planet in the name of Islam. Again, that is just since 9/11 2001, and, they are the attacks that have been confirmed to be linked to Islam.
Since the "Islamic (Iranian)Revolution of 79", THOUSANDS more have occured in the name of Islam. Since Iran fostered and has since nurtured this "revolution" every step of the way, it is unconscienable to deny, or trivialize Iran's culpability in the murder of hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people since 79. That is terrorism.
The CIA, through covert operations designed to recruit indiginous peoples to resist terror supporting regimes throughout the world can hardly be compared to a country who, for years, has stated as it's goal to eradicate christians and jews from the face of the earth.
I have reservations categorizing Iran's Quds force or Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organization. I think by doing that it encourages people to believe that somehow "Radical Islamic Terror" is some form of radical Islam. It's not. ISLAM ITSELF IS RADICAL and should be annointed the title of TERRORIST ORGANIZATION. Only a blanket condemnation of the entire ideology would suffice for me.
Iran willingly and unapologetically continues to market itself as the center of this perverted ideology, an ideology that wants you to convert or die. An ideology that has declared war on the west and harbors no allusions of compromise. The mistake of misinterpreting Iran's current inability to expeditiously implement their plan as a benign threat to our freedom can be reviewed in the texts of history in the run up to WWII. We remained in then too.
What's most disturbing, is that in an age where we HAVE information available to us within seconds at our fingertips from a multitude of sources, all of which point to an inevitable, catastrophic clash of civilizations, we again seem to be content with letting our enemy gain the upper hand. Despite daily, documented attacks that spill our blood as if it were excess water from an overflowing cistern, we concern ourselves with the fate of the OJs and Paris Hiltons of the world.
Reading denial posts from lester, Dave, and orion is like watching sweeps week on Al Jazeera. If the issue weren't so serious, I dismiss their comments as the product of individuals infected with brain eating amoebas. Sadly, there are many out there just like them and while they are blaming Bush and the CIA today for all the worlds ills, they will be screaming at Bush and the CIA for not having done more to protect them when Islamic terror hits them personnaly.
They will find no comfort here.
