Did you notice that the concrete roadway that "pancaked down" on the roadway below did not cause the lower freeway to collapse? Nor did the concrete disintegrate into a fine powder.
Did you notice the columns were not torn down by the collapse, nor did they evaporate into thin air, rather they are still standing (having only lost the the truss and connectors that held the roadway to them)?
There are several more points to make, if you wish, that show that trying to compare this to three massive skyscrapers isn't just idiotic, it's just plain retarded.

In 2000, I worked to restore a fire damaged plant (ISOMAX I believe) at the Chevron Refinery in Richmond. The Fire was caused by a leaky 3/4" valve destroyed an entire plant including heavy (24"x36") steel beams and 100 foot vertical columns (tanks). The steel was melted and twisted into shapes that were kinda cool, all because of some leaky heated hydrocarbons otherwise known as fuel like gasoline, Jet fuel, Etc. Anyone who argues like Pete are just plain silly... Pete, you silly boy.
Oh, and BTW, the road surface is not concrete, but AC otherwise known as Asphalt concrete which is a blend of gravel, koke, and oil, which gets very soft when heated, and will even burn as well.
Here is an experiment for ya Petie: ask your dad if you can use his torch, (oxy-acetylene works best). Holdinig the torch an inch or two away, direct the heat on your concrete driveway. Be sure to wear safety glasses, because the concrete is going to explode. Why you ask? Because even though the concrete appears to be solid, there are small pockets of trapped air that when heated up will expand rapidly causing the concrete to pop and explode. Be sure you have adult supervision Petie, you wouldn't wanna hurt yourself.
Now, Imagine a fully fueled Jet that flies into a building spilling its entire fuel cells, causing the fuel to vaporize and ignite. After your experiment of heating the driveway, it doesn't take a great deal of imagination to understand how that superheated concrete loses its structural integrity, exposing the steel and ultimately causing the colapse of the building. Common sense is a terrible terrible thing to waste.
Fire melts steel at 2,000 degrees. Ask any fireman. (I asked my Dad- retured FDNY)

WTF are you people tallking about? You do know that a 47 story building not hit by planes, 7 WTC akso fell into its footprint that day. This was the ONLY building that Rosie questioned the official version - except for they still haven't forwarded one for this structure.
It was a huge building and I was actually in it at one time. The steel was fireproofed, there was no jet fuel, and fire fighters said the small localized fire were under control. Yet it was never explained how it caught fire in the first place, hours later.
Can anyone on this site read or really listen to what people say? I've got to wonder.

Engines don't melt from the heat because they are cooled by water or air. Take away that cooling and see what happens to your engine, Einstein. It'll warp beyond all recognition in no time. Even todays Jet engines are cooled by inert gas and bypass airflow.
A chunk of pavement collapsing doesn't have the same impact as a few dozen stories above it. Those floors above it also weighed more than that chunk of road.
One more thing for the truthers and I'll type it slowly for them. In order to bring down a building with controlled explosions, you have to strip away walls and ceilings to plnt the explosives. It is a massive effort requiring tons of explosives and miles of special wiring. Where did they hide all of that? Wouldn't someone notice walls missing and ceilings gone? Wouldn't they trip over the wires?
Ah, but that makes sens. It's just so much fun to sit in front of your computers, wanking to Internet porn and dreaming up ridiculous conspiracy theories.

Why not drive a truck or fly a plane into any one of the hundreds of empty industrial "shells" in cities all over the country that need to be torn down for redevelopment? That would certainly prove the theory of how a building comes down with enough heat and fire. Why bother with a major freeway in the Bay Area? That just pisses off commuters and keeps CalTrans from filling all the potholes on 101.

It just took heat to weaken them enough to give way and voila, domino effect.
