To receive taxes, you have to have been paying taxes - and you need to be a LEGAL resident alien for that to happen. The problem with illegal immigrants is that they DON'T pay taxes.

The illegal immigrants we've got to worry about are the undocumented ones working cash-in-hand and driving uninsured, unlicenced cars with stolen plates.

CHANGE? How ABOUT some real change? There are far too many bureaucrats and politicians who have been in office for FAR TOO LONG! They are collecting FAR TOO MUCH in wages and benefits, while telling us to tighten our belts and our budgets, so we can give them more money to "WORK" with. And this includes BOTH parties. We lost control of this government (at all levels), when it became more profitable for these leeches to go into politics and government service, than to make a living in the private sector.

Looks like a healthy dose of disappointment for all of us. My one consolation is that the feather-brained libs (of both parties) will be crying the loudest, and suffering the most, when this economy collapses and they can't beg, borrow or steal enough food to survive. I'll survive, as will my loved ones, because we've never asked for or received a handout from the government or anyone else, and KNOW how to survive.

Why would you want to be a legal citizen now. Hell you can get the benifits, entitlements and tax refunds without ever having paid into the system... If you become leagal, then you are going to have a net loss by being forced to participate like every other fraking citizen of this country.
They ought to offer illegal ailens tax refund checks, but make them pick them up at the local ICE office, then round them up as the come in and ship there asses back to where ever the hell they came from.

I'm fortunate enough to be beyond the cap, so I won't get squat. For me, the question is, what do taxes have to do with it? I paid a *lot* of taxes in 2007 and I won't get anything.
Sure, there's a formula to it, but it's more about means testing than fairness. I guess the IRS has a mailing list, so that helps figure out where to send the checks, as long as the money doesn't get into the wrong hands, like mine. Obviously I wouldn't know what to with it.

I'm tickled spitless that I'll qualify for the "rebate," or whatever it will be called next week, but I sure as hell ain't happy that the leeches will be collecting at our expense. I don't particularly care if they paid taxes or not; they shouldn't be here in the first place (hence, the term ILLEGAL). I'm not sure how my receiving the rebate will help stimulate the economy, since I'll probably just sock it away in my savings.

Personally, I cringe every time I hear that our bureaucrat scum are going to "FIX" something. If they really wanted to stimulate our economy, they would quit mucking with it. The building I work in has an IRS office of the 2nd floor (the sign for it in the lobby is also in spanish). Lately, scores of what can only be illegals are swarming into that office. None of these people speak English - most look like they just got here. Now I know why.

I am all for this rebate being sent to Resident aliens, my wife is a resident alien from Canada, we will take the rebate and use it for the kids and the household. Nope...no money going back to Canada. My wife has worked for the past 12 years paying taxes and contributing to the well being of our country.

If they have addresses on the illegals, why don't they just go get them? If they know where to send the checks, why not go get them instead? It doesn't make sense that illegals would be getting checks, but that we can't go pick them up. Something is fishy.
