On the radio last night there was a WWII vet talking about this very thing! You could hear the tears in this mans voice as he said he'd never seen anything likes these people in his life. You could tell he was absolutely heartbroken that these people could so undermine our troops and this country.
He even went so far as to condemn (rightly so!) the populace who support this talk! He mentioned that this generation (us) don't even have to sacrifice during this war like the population had to (food rations, giving up stockings, rubber, cars, et al, for the war efort) back then.
