Regarding the shooting, I'm finally getting a whole story: A routine traffic stop that went real bad. Perp tried to run down the cops and crashed his car while injuring two cops. Dude got out of the car and produced a weapon. When he refused to disarm they shot and killed him.

Whenever this happens in Seattle all the relatives say he was a great guy and was just getting his shit together. We've had 6 or 7 criminals shot by police in this State in the past 6 weeks or so and it never fails to surprise me how clueless people are about police work. One was a woman that called 911 because her husband was trying to break her door and/or window to get to her - after he was shot by police after attacking the cop with a knife the wife said, well, why did they have to kill him? Ugh!
