Finally...
Cindy Sheehan deserves nothing but sympathy. She lost her son, which is a tragedy (although a risk for anybody accepting a paycheque as a member of the US armed forces.)
However, the double tragedy was when she was scooped up and manipulated by the anti-war movement.
Now they're done with her, they've cast her aside - twice as broken as she was before.
She's a victim twice over.
Anybody who really cared about her would not have let her fly to meet Chavez, for a start.

Cindy Sheehan is a self centered, manipulative, treasoness bitch with a thinking problem who has difficulty dealing with the ramifications of HER OWN actions. I would suspect that her foray into the public spotlight was a misguided attempt to massage her own internal guilt of abandoning her son BEFORE he was KIA. The really sad part of the story is her words and actions are not part of some innocuous debate, but rather food for the enemy from which they draw more energy to MURDER sons and daughters of patriotic American Mothers and Fathers. Plus, she's nuts. Go visit the ovaries she buried in Texas if you have any doubt about that.

I am a Liberal (albeit a moderate one) so I might be biased, but, whatever her faults, this woman has earned her right to speak out (and loudly too) by virtue of her son's service to this country. Surely the patriotism of a yellow ribbon household is beyond question, is it not?
I don't expect people to agree with her, but, I'd expect them to respect her. I disagree with alot of people whom I can still respect. And if you can't bring yourself to respect her then perhaps you could respect her son and his service. Then again, I don't try to belittle or mock differing views, so maybe it's just me and my liberal sensibility.

We do respect her son's decision and his sacrifice. It's Sheehan that apparently doesn't. Voicing your opinion is one thing, and everyone I know will grant that the pain and sorrow of losing a child is difficult to deal with ... but Sheehan politicized and used her sons death to further the causes of anti-American groups that were in existence long before the war started. These groups enticed Sheehan and used her until there was nothing left for her to give. She showed disrespect to other mothers and fathers who lost children or have them in harms way. She was coddled and used by dictators, tyrants and traitors ... and she did it all willingly.
