I thought they handled the planted question well. It wasn't a bad debate, relatively speaking. the youtube people had way better questions than the elites beltway types usually do. I'm biased because I support Ron Paul, but they shuold try and give more equal time to the other candidates. it's awkward seeing them just standing there. it's like bad manners.
One question I thought they really blew was when the girl wearing the hijab asked about what they would do to improve our image in the arab world. they responded basically by showing why we have a such a poor image in the arab world. just nationalism and war sloganeering, totally afraid to answer the question. rudy tried a little.
I thought my candidate had substantial but kind of scattered answers.
I liked Duncan Hunter's answer to that girl. I clapped after that one.And Lester what have the Arabs done to improve their image around the world other than blowing shit up and stoning women to death?
As for that retired colonel,he contradicted himself by saying he didn't tell anyone in the army he was gay until he retired. So what was his probelem?

All in all, I thought the Republican debate went well. A lot better than the clusterfuck that was the Democratic debate.
Romney, Guiliani, Thompson, and Tancredo all did okay in my opinion. But McCain and Huckabee really impressed me last night. But, damn, Ron Paul made me want to go through my TV screen and strangle him every time he opened his mouth. I can't believe that guy is still up there. In fact, I'm dumbfounded that he is still up there. And is it me, or when he was walking out to the stage did he look like a member of the undead from a Romero movie?

I didn't see Ron Paul walk out on to the stage but he sure talks like he is on stage.

Just found out that CNN flew the gay general out to the debates. Paid for his flight, hotel, transportation, etc. But no, I'm sure CNN had no idea he worked for Her Highness.
What is amazing to me is that out of a country of THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY MILLION PEOPLE there were only 5000 submisions AND out of those 5000 submissions, the complexity of the questions and the producyion quality rose to a level barely above the capabilities of the average 5th grader. The out-takes must have been astounding.
That said,beyond the obvious plants, (of which the count now stands at six) it is a testament to CNN's desire to dumb down debates to a level that their libtard audience can understand.
As for the "MUSLIM" woman. I first thought it could have been lester, but then I noticed she had teeth. However, something was definetly wrong with her perfume. I have serious doubts that she is even a muslim at all. She claims to have spent a year in the mid-east. So what. I've spent a year waiting in lines for groceries. Her contrived muslim qualifications and question seemed to be as legitimate as Bill Clinton's sense of marital morality.
I won't be surprised if the berka is pulled back on that one.
I still don't get the trivialization of Hunter's candidacy, unless he's being groomed for the number two spot on the ticket, as has been suggested about Thompson. Romney reminds me of a psuedo republican Jimmy Carter. I keep waiting for him to say something like, "what do I need to do to put you in this car today?"
Guliani seems to be on the verge of self destruction, though he may be able to turn that around. Although I am suppotive of his view of the islamic threat, there's just not that much else there that that makes me want to buy the slut another drink. Tancredo is content with watching the process play out on tv and only lacks a ba of popcorn and an occasional "hey, that was good, did you hear what McCain said". Speaking of McCain, although I respect the mans's service to the nation, the incessant seance to conjure up his hostage ghost is getting old. Sympathy falls between shit and syphlis in the dictionary and is about as relevant in today's dialogue as lester's opinions of kosher hot dogs.
Huckabee, though seemingly surging right know, has bad teeth and I would imagine the sems will soon be releasing his denatal records as a back door way to re-invigorate the universal health care debate.
