This could be vewwwwwy inewesting. On one hand, the 'story is a humaitarian crisis. On the other it could be a way for opponents of Mubarek to enter Egypt. Hamas and Hizbollah would like nothing better that to topple Egypt's government, if not outright assassinate Mubarek as they did with Sadat.
Also, another interesting sidebar to this story is the fact that Israel is appaently willing to cede Gaza BACK to Egypt all of a sudden !! They are supplying water and electricity to Gaza and have stated they would like wash their hands of the territory and let Egypt govern it. I have a very hard time believeing that that wall could have undergone the MONTHS of preparation to be torn down the wat it was without Israel's prior knowledge.
Something is going on here behind the scenes. The wall Israel has built went UNTOUCHED.
Let's suppose Isael is planning to strike Iran. They know that would cause an uproar in the Arab world and they need someone to try and temper the response. Cut a deal with Egypt? Give them back some land and let them whine a little about an attack on Iran as long as you have an agreement they won't join in retalliation?
I don't know, but something stinks with this one.
We are coming into a time when Israel may be looking at the clock running out on their opportunity to hamstring the Iranian nuclear program given the uncertainty of American presidential politics right now. What better way to ensure support from the US and Egypt if they give some land back, attack Iran and force the US into a defending Israel from retalliation.
Just a wild theory I've been thinking about.

Screw islam! I worry about Isreal constantly - but then I read the Bible and there is a book about these very times - Ezekeal.
One thing that people here (libs) constantly ask is: Well what do you want to do with them all? Kill them? (Meaning Islam). My answer has always been that I would prefer to isolate them so they leave us alone.
Without going into details, I will just say I think we are going to witness some very interesting times in the near (rather than far) future. It gives me comfort....

Ya know, Billy, you remind me (remember I'm drinking here!!) not only about the Vegas thing (that would tidy up some loose ends nicely) but talking about this stuff reminds me that I should really just chuck this whole condo thing, move to middle America and buy a HOUSE. As for the move thing. Nothing beats having a house of your own. I bought this place a year and a half ago. Three bedroom rach on an acre for 85k. It's in a nice area about ten minutes outside of town. I had to stop for a dozen deer in the road the other day and it seems the rabbits have grown fond of the shed.

I have a yahoo account - I think you just have to sign up at the right time at LGF. I guess I was smart - I asked the site owner when he opened the thing up - he wrote me back and told me. It's only been since then how I've learned how exclusive the thing is.

It's not really. There are far worse places than Michigan from a lib standpoint. I do like the seasons and that was what I missed when I lived in LA and St. Thomas. The winters here are a little too ong but the summers are spectacular. Spring and fall are nice too. Winter is my least favorite.
I used to go to the Captains - haven't in about two years. Michigan sounds pretty nifty - I guess I could do worse.

Selfridge AFB down by the Detroit area is stil up and running. (about and hour south of me) They closed Wurtsmith in Oscoda a few years back.

There is camp Grayling, but that is a National Guard base. That's about two hours North.
I think there also may be a base in the UP (upper Penninsula) But up there you have to learn to speak Sasquatch. It's pretty remote.
I'll have to check it out - all I know is I DON'T want to go to Fort Drum! They have like 4 feet!
AND - talking to the little lady there, she said an airbase that used to service the area DOESN'T anymore, which means we have to drive from Syracuse.

Yes. What will happen, I think ... is islam will be revealed as the deception it really is and it will just cease to exist, leaving millions of muslims aghast. The revelation will leave any adherents to islam powerless. Of course prior to this unveiling many things must happen.
