1. Libby will be convicted of lying and obstructing a crime that didn't take place. how is that possible? People will learn not to lie to a grand jury. nothing more to it than that. [the ho hum what the hell explanation]
2. fitzgerald, like most people, could not care less if libby lied to the jury, even if it is a felony. the reason this is going on is because the espionage act was violated by dick cheney. Libby either walks, or if found guilty never spends a day in jail while it's appealed. If remanded it'll be dropped. Fitzgerald should be investigated for prosecutorial misconduct.

When Bush proposes to "FIX" programs like social security and hammers away at methods of accomplishing that, he is stonewalled, ridiculed and then accused of doing nothing to fix the problem. I may not be the biggest fan of Bush, but I will give him respect for his tenacious adherance to his convictions and his somewhat bumbling leadership through extremely difficult and dangerous times.
I saw a report the other day that said the new projection for the deficit will be at it's lowest level on a percentage basis since 1962 within a year thanks to the tax cuts and increased revenue from taxes from corporate America. How is that fiscally irresponsible?
Also, I do love the constitution. I am thrilled that Bush was able to repeal the "assault weapons" ban by letting it lapse. You should see the bill in comittee right now the dems have drafted to re install constraints on my right to self defense. It is the old ban to the 10th power. Why would anyone want to have a magazine that held more than ten rounds? Or a shotgun with more than 5? Watch the post katrina footage or the post Rodney King trial footage, show me where the police protected civilians and get back to me. It's comical to watch anti gun mouthpieces like Rosie ODonell suround herself with armed bodygards. Is her life worth more than mine? Not for me it's not. That's just for starters. Banning guns won't solve our crime problem any more than raising taxes stifles spending. It won't take the guns out of the hands of criminals. You have to get to the root of the problems, an exercise the dems have repeatedly shown a complete disregard for.

It's intended to shut down the porn industry, which the 'morality' police in the extreme religious right would just cream their pants to do.
It's got nothing to do with protecting minors - that could be done WITHOUT making all these girls personal details freely available.
That's one civil liberty Bush has driven a hummer over. I'm not saying he's as bad as the left wingers say he is, but don't be niave and say he hasn't curtailed some civil liberties - because he HAS.

Not having seen either bill, I would assume it's (their) intent, is not only to keep underage girls from being used in that industry, but to 'expose' those who are being forced to against their will.

Did you actually read it? All it says is that anyone who produces said material will identify the person is who they say they are and the date of birth. It also says to include any other names the performer may go by.
Then, it says each copy will have the NAME and LOCATION of the organization maintaining the records.
In other words, verify the name and ages of the people you hire and keep a record of these verifications.
That's a far cry from "driving a hummer over civil liberities".

Islam is an extreme religion. A tiny subsect of any religion does not hold a candle to islam.
