Thanks for the post. Boomershoot has changed a lot since you were last there. Both the number and the size of the targets has increased, the number of people is about 5X, and of course the fireballs.
And in 2005 it didn't rain (because I brought the sun with me up from California, of course). Sunburn happens all to quickly at the Boomershoot's elevation, especially as the air feels deceptively cool even in full sun. So be sure to bring lots of sunscreen as I plan to bring the sun back with me this year!
You mentioned KDT closing his blog.
While I am not mad at him for it, something quite negative has resulted from it. When you do a search for a certain type of gun you no longer are directed to his pro-gun blogger website. I hope google starts redirecting people to his new site, because it is a valuable education tool to the newbies "just trying to find more information on a gun". One he likely has done a review on.
He is very intertaining and lots of folks stay, read and learn. Or... at least they did.
