damn

(One wonders what outrage would be generated if this target array were presented in anIPSC match when fitted with "Classic", rather than "Metric", targets.)

Gee Jerry---thanks for the idea!
I wonder what I did with those left-over turtle targets from the Crazy
Croc bay 6 stage??

Gravatar You ... wouldn't ... dare.

Gravatar Bob,
I'll be posting to CanadianGunNutz again before the evening is out, and I'll try like the dickens to keep from making it a political issue.

That is to say, I'll avoid criticizing the leadership of IPSC -- the International body.

But Cogito Ergo Geek is the place where I have chosen to publically post my own personal opinion of everything to do with IPSC competition, and I'll restrict myself to a single observation.

The high-handed, arbitrary formulation (and INTERPRETATION) of competitive rules is the single reason why USPSA came so terribly close to disassociating itself from IPSC. That would have been A Bad Thing for all parties resolved. My feeling is that the USPSA Board of Directors worked long and hard to find a solution that everyone could live with, and we in USPSA are almost unanimously glad that the consensus solution was finally effected.

Did IPSC learn anything from the process? It's still too early to tell, but until other regions confront IPSC it's unlikely that the international leadership will be willing to actually listen to their membership.

And until that date, other regions will have no say in such questions as whether the Texas Star target (or any other target) may be allowed in competition at any level.

It's hard to tell from the short comment you provided whether you are complaining about or celebrating the restrictive decision you have apparently received from IPSC.

However, until IPSC can cite a rule I cannot understand why any region would put up with a simple "You can't do that here."

Gravatar Bill is EVIL isn't he?
