Gravatar Repeal part of the Bill of Rights?

Well now, Festus, what we have here is a real revolutionary. If we are going to chuck the Second, how about the First, or maybe the Fourth or Fifth?

Let's cut to the chase. This call for "repealing" any part of the Bill of Rights is nothing less than a call for a new Constitution.

New Constitution? Second American Republic? That's more like it. Blow it up and start over again. Tobacco Road.

In MY version of a new Constitution, there wouldn't be any Second Amendment, either, I would put it in a new Preamble. I would write it thusly:

"The People are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights which include unrestricted defense of life and liberty and also the pursuit of happiness."

Not as flowery as the Original, but it would get the job done.

Let's see: no provision for repealing the Preamble, is there?

Yep, maybe a re-write is what we need.

You might need something besides a race pistol to get you to that little party, though.
