Talk to the Goat |
Jay, Time to sit quietly... away from that music for sure and get soem SLEEP! |
just wanted to say.. i hope you get some sleep soon! know how its like, been up all week studying for midterms... love this blog jay, it's truly terrific and i always feel i can relate! |
My dear girl---The Secret Life of Bees PLUS Atonement accounts for the lack of sleep---monkeybrain, monkeybrain. It leads to injudicious underwear purchases and imbalanced shoe-wearing. Try to mix it up with some Carolyn Keene. |
Damn...you sound like you are speeding...hmmmm...maybe I should try not sleeping for a week...could be a cheap new years eve trick LOL |
Sound familiar. |
Wine, Wine puts me out like a light....So does the bible, and tea, and nyquil though if you don't need it don't take it cause you end very irritable the next day...VERY! Yes Personal Experience is talking. Hmm, somehow that doesnt sound quite right. |
When your mind and body work for a time in over-drive, they get used to it and just don't want to slow back down again. A nice slow massage and some wine is what I would prescribe.... well, maybe alot of wine. |
Damn, girl, you need to just chill and relax. Take a hot bath or something. Watch something on the golf channel or something. That's bound to put you to sleep. If that doesn't work, you could get an audio book read by Ben Stein. |
i know how it feels to be sleep deprived. so, hop into the bed and be off to dreamland, girl! |
Warm bath, and warm milk with honey - yes, OK, go on, add a shot of rum. |
There can never be too much red. |
"Panties! Panties! Panties!"? sleepy duckies??? when you're a litle more coherent I wouldn't mind a little elaboration.... |
Wine is a daily friend of mine, but it doesn't put me to sleep And the only thing worse than being tired, is getting a hangover without ever having been to sleep. The conversion from drunk to hungover is a very nauseating and painful time to be conscious for. |
Oh lord. I just realized that now you'll all know that it's 5:30 in the morning and I still haven't been in bed. What's worse, I just watched a Christmas movie starring Mary Tyler Moore. My mind won't shut off, I never slow down, I can't unwind, I'm so tightly wound that I feel ready to spring, and yes, I've had a bath, I've had a back rub, I even had some milk dammit, and I'm 200 pages into Wuthering Heights and several acts into Antony and Cleopatra, and still no sleep!!! I cannot emphasize with enough !!! here!!! |
I'm not too fond of your language. The "M" word is not really necessary. |
I'm reading the secret life of bee's too! Did you like it? |
Oooh I've been where you are in Sleepless City way too many times Jay. Nothing mroe frustrating. You may just have to resort to a couple nights in a row of drug-induced sleep just to get your mind and body used to it again. Try something like Sleep-Eze or Nytol. Good luck hon, it'll be okay soon! |
Oh yeah, and RED?? You can never have too much red!! |
Poor Jay |
A good orgasm works to put me to speep everytime. I stayed up all night to read See Jane Run and that got my mind racing. Luckily, hubby helped me out last night when the books events were still plaguing me. |
What kind of cheese. |
A mallet to the head works for me. |
I'm sorry you are so sleepy. I'd suggest some chamomile tea before bed but that stuff tastes nasty and makes me have to get up to pee in the night. Good luck to you. |
*big squeeze* |
I never have a problem sleeping. I'm a master sleeper! yes, red dishes are nice - and so is red stemware...go for it! |
Insomnia sucks! |
I hate it when sleep doesn't come. |
Red dishes are trendy now? |
when I get no sleep I AM cranky |
What a sucky feeling, maybe watch hours upon hours of the DISCOVERY CHANNEL? |
when i want to sleep, i watch football, works like a charm. maybe a nice long bath, some tea? |
Poor baby... |
you sound like my wife ... |
Hard Core Mind Blowing Sex!! Works every time. Tell Hubby to take his vitamins because he's gotta ROCK YOU TO SLEEP! |
Hope you get some sleep soon. Just reading your post made me tired |
Sleep is the enemy. |
Have you tried Calcium w/vit D and magnesium? GNC carries calcium tabs. that are good for your bones AND help induce relaxation which promotes sleep. Just a thought Jay. Hope you are sleeping soundly now. |
I just get up and go to work.... |
Ambien, baby. Take some Ambien. |
for some reason, it was exhausting reading that. |
8 hours of hindi music? Personally I love the movies when there's a young couple by themselves. They break into a number and people jump from the bushes and start dancing. |
I feel you on the lack of sleep, it is quite draining! |
Careful with the artificial sleep aids. Turkey, onions, warm milk all have something in them which will make you sleep. Sex is good for everything. |
There's a blog called PantiesPantiesPanties by the way. |
Oh, and I'm SOSOSOSO pissed... my favoritest RED chair that everyone comments on, favorably, when they come to my house met a bleaching accident this weekend. I'm forlorn. |
Soooo not the post to read when I've had little sleep from working a few extra night shifts when I'm a day shifter... |
Can't sleep, eh? I could come over and give you a four hour lecture on the genetic history of the eggplant with an emphasis on it's ancestral links to kiwi fruit, pistachios, and John Travolta. Of course, I would expect you to take notes and put together a presentation with a three dimensional rotating model made solely out of tofu. |
Well, I'm sure you're all very sweet, but none of that is going to work for me. Insomnia is not about lack of tired, or boredom, or relaxation. If it were so easy that any of the above worked for me, I'd hardly have anything to complain about. |
dang. this makes me tired, too. |
insomnia huh, do you always have it cuz isn't there a clinic downtown that deal's with this? |
From one insominac to another: Hope you've gotten lots of blissful shut-eye by now. Ironically, I posted the silliest spur of the moment "Shut EYe Dsiclosures" (post just b4 my current one) about the time of this post. I didn't make it a meme but it caught on. WIsh it could bring you magic sleep. |
I think people who prescribe wine and massages are cute...and obviously, they've never had insomnia before. It's not a case of being sleepy, or not relaxed enough. It's a medical condition. Wine doesn't really apply. |
