Talk to the Goat

Excellent.
Just make sure not to paint the couch.

That's Ian's thing.

ooooooooooooo, i love furniture shopping. i'm looking for a coffee table and am having no luck at all. if you love your new coach it's definitely worth the extra money, just keep those chocolate desserts you make away from it! maybe a pic of your room when it's done, or a drawing of your floor plan?

Woo! Sure sounds like fun to me.

Enjoy your new couch, Jay!

And then we'll have an Oscar party?

Oh wait... Maybe just some cocktails.

COOLNESS...i love paint.

I am also a fan of colour in a room

Good luck on the home decoration front! x

you must post pictures after you're done.

Hey, I'm just jealous that you've GOT a new couch. I've been needing one for EONS!

wait, the coach is white? you guys don't have kids, huh?

I'm painting now too. I love the changes you can bring with a new coat of fresh paint. Although right now I'm wondering why the room had to be so big!

Do we get to see pictures of it in its new home? And also, I'm jealous. I want new furniture. And color.

Paint?? My landlord has it in his moronic head that yellow is a good color. No cranberry zing, I like the sound of that. I should let the nine year old in on that one. Summer project.

My couch (a sectional) was so large that I actually had to rig a system of ropes up to move it up to the patio and move it in through those doors (the patio door is twice as big). It was an interesting way to meet the drug dealer that lived in the apartment below me.

(The drug dealer was 50 years old, had a hermit beard, and wore a white t-shirt that had been destroyed by human filth)

Oooh!! My bedroom is wine coloured and I LUUUURVE it!!!! That cranberry's going to look awesome!! I hate too much white. We're slowly painting everything one room at a time.

Color me jealous. I need a new sofa but have been putting it off until.....well until someting!

I need a couch. Fairly soon, I expect. I've never shopped for one though so I may come home with a futon instead.

I think painting the couch *is* a good idea.

yup yup yup... the cranberry and white combo is incredible, and should take care of that feeling of drowing in a sea of neutrality...

not to mention the fact that you have the joy of knowing that the paint colour is called CRANBERRY ZING!!! That would totally do it for me. Totally.

The question I want answered is are we talking The Brick,L eons, United Furniture Warehouse or Badboys?

Cranberry Zing...that makes me hungry for a zesty muffin.

When in doubt, drink some heinies.

My daughter would say paint it "SCOOBY-DOO colors. She loves that shit.

Hope you have a great weekend!

I'm so jealous. We need a new couch SOOOOO freaking bad...

Tell me that you're Cranberry Zinging your walls and not the new couch......

Oh Jay we MUST have pictures when you are done!! Please pretty please???

Happy St. Patty's Day!

To hell with tradition! I say, keep the white furniture and make the walls pop with color. Add colorful accesories like candles or marbles in colorful bowls, and the room will just explode with color, making the white furniture look awesome! P.S. have you been to Target lately? They have some really cool furniture accessories you could totally pimp out...

So women wonder why men hate change...duh!

Cool, I can still see your blog. Blogger is having server problems and my blog + over 500 more are either "forbiden" or a blank page. I'll be back just as soon as Blogger finds it way back.

Once we got the couch and (new) chairs into position, we realized that our old coffee table just didn't cut it anymore, which is too bad because it's still fab and great for my various projects...but too big with an overstuffed couch. So we had to hunt up some new little side tables instead.

We've primed now...the walls look bubble gum pink. Breathe, relax, it dries darker...right?

Luckily we have double doors, and we paid to have it delivered, so getting in here wasn't our problem...though getting it out will be a fun next move.

Happily this is Jason's long weekend, so we'll be buried in here under all the tarps for 3 whole days...if we don't kill each other, or go down due to paint fumes first.

The last living room I painted was chilli pepper green...kinda like the colours in here. Everything thinks I'm crazy in the head. Or colour blind.

K, we didn't go with anyof the bigger chains (I hate Leons!), it was a great little store we found by accident in Vaughn. The chairs come from another place in Richmond Hill. Then we saw an Ikea and bought a book shelf that we probably don't have room for.

Jude, thanks for the concern; the couch is double-gloved as it were...hopefully, very safe from paint...not so safe from sticky Jamie fingers though!

Yeah - our bedroom paint definitely dried darker. Whew!! It can be a really great experience painting with your dh. Ah, I mean one's dh. Obviously I've never painted anything with YOUR dh. :oP We had a blast. :o) As I recall, it was done in various forms of undress to "save the clothes from getting painty." Heh!

I just bought a new bed, wow, how I wish I had a new couch too. This futon thing sucks!

Vomiting color...hmmm nice picture!! I vomited yellow on my living room walls! YEAH FOR NEW PURCHASES!

Jason is learning, I guess, that when it comes to decorating, guys are just supposed nod in agreement with whatever. It's much less painful. I hope the paint does the trick.

I was watching some decorating home show just before reading your post and it was right up my ally!

Sounds like fun!

We're all hoping for before and after pics!!

I've always wanted a white couch... but, I know myself, it would not be white long... even without kids!

OK, we need photos of the finished livingroom! It sounds gorgeous Jay. But a picture is worth a thousand words! Carnberry? WOW! All the walls or one or two for contrast???

Have a great and productive weekend!

Ooh, la, la! Cranberry Zing!

Girl, that sounds almost as yummy as this: (take a peek)

Thinking about getting a new couch for my new place but I going to hold off. Better to go with quality furniture, not something cheap, it will fall apart.

Good luck with the cranberry! I'm sure it'll be great!

Don't forget a nice throw rug. Also some throw pillows would add some nice color if you think things are too white.

Love cranberry by the way! Great color!

Looks like store delivery standards are identical in both ends of the world.
And it sounds like your hubby loves you heaps. Lucky cow.

I was going to ask why you would want to paint a brand new couch. It never occurred to me that the walls were what the paint was for. Hmm. Everyone else seemed to work it out just fine. Must be Monday morning brain fog.

LOOK, it never fucking ends.

We just bought new sofa, 2 chairs w/ottomans, huge chest o'drawer thing, sideboard, and a queen size bed. We even bought a new dog bed (which has been taken over by the cats).

Now my sweetest wants more chairs! Where will they go?

Hey we're never satisfied are we

Yikes we're turning into our mum's!!

I noticed that you've linked your site to someone who claims to have an I.Q. of 168.

I miss you, hurry up and come back!
