Talk to the Goat

I'm very happy to read this - I've been waiting for a post for Herbie to have to himself. Furry friends make the world go round.

Wait!! I'm not anonymous!

Herbie is very cute and I'm so glad that he makes you happy!

I can't believe you adopted him! He's adorable. Hard to find puppies that sweet some times at the pound. We have had four shih tzu's at various times... my sweet Dusty I had for almost 17 years. Now I have Tzeke and Tzoe Tzu (brother and sis) and their cousin Bug (my daughter's dog) living with us. It's crazy some days but I wouldn't trade 'em for anything. They love unconditionally and are perfect little companions. Congratulations on Herbie. He's a doll!

i adopted my dog three years ago, i was turned down for my first choice and was devastated. i never understood dog people before i had her, now i get it. enjoy that adorable little man!

Herbie is adorable and if I ever have another dog - one like Herbie wold be it!!

He is just adorable. Congratulations!

Rescue dogs seem grateful, don't they?

We have a rescued cocker spaniel. I always wonder what in the world could have made someone let her go.

He's so kawaii.

Woot! I have three small rescue dogs and they love me and I love them back.

congrats to you both.

Herbie is just way too cute!

I don't know what I'd do without my furkids.

You and Herbie were meant to be - that much is obvious! I'm a teensy bit jealous.

"Make a poopie and then we can cuddle"

Naww.

That's much better than

"Let's have a cuddle and you can poopie"

Not that you would say that, but puppies might like the idea.

Herbie is not from the pound.
He was still with his moma and siblings when I got him.

He is completely adorable!!! Isn't having a pet just the best? Lulu makes my home a happy one too.

Oh, Herbie couldn't be any cuter!
Whatta sweetie. Enjoy!

I LOVE him!

That is one precious (active!) puppy. My kids want me to get another dog (our sweet old dog died in January). I’m not quite ready for that - but, oh, the love they bring to our lives!

It took me 6 years to get over the loss of my last dog, so I truly understand.

What a cheerful post! Glad you two have each other.

so i'll admit i'm a little bit dogstruck, and drunk, but this made me tear up.

i blame you and thank you for commenting on my blog so i can cry about you and your dog.

He is a cutie!

OH!! OH!! A woman after my heart! Okay a doggie after my heart!

I am a doggie lover, and Herbie is my favourite kind ~ too damn cute for my own good! Isn't it fabulous how they give such unconditional love?

Ah Jay, you are both so blessed to have each other.

AWW! What a cutie!

Most excellent new canine!!!

who's the best boy???????????
good boy, herbie..good boy

Herbie's adorable! What a luck that you've found each other

I'm glad you found Herbie--sounds like an ideal companion for you!

The last pet I had was a tarantula, named Charlotte. She was a great companion for me, to the day she died (she lived over twelve years). Of course she wasn't cuddly--she didn't like being handled. But she never once bit me--and for a tarantula, that indicates trust!

Still, I want my next pet to be a dog. I like cats, but I love dogs! Because I especially enjoy getting down on the floor, or ground, and playfully wrestling with a dog--I want a dog that's almost as big as I! So I'd like a dog that's a cross between an Irish wolfhound and a Saint Bernard!

I live in a large house with a large lawn, and my backyard is fenced (though I'd let him roam the house, most of the time). So I have adequate room. And I have enough money to feed him, and care for him.

Only problems are that I'd have to regularly shave him (it's very hot in Northwest Florida), and I am unable find such a hybrid here. So what I will probably do is start visiting the animal shelter regularly, until I find a massive dog, of any breed(s)--and just bring him home!

YEAY for you!!!!!!!!!! I can't imagine not having a dog. (I also cry after the spca. The ones I can't take home haunt me)

Herbie is too cute! I think the Navy Bean wanted him, after she saw the pictures.

It sounds like the two of you are made for each other--lovely dog--good for you for encouraging adoption, it's the only way to go.

This is such a happy post!

...and by the way, I think I used to date Dolores in my lonely youth.

I'll never forget that glorious beak!

Unfortunately, Herbie is not very photogenic. He is much, much cuter in person. He has such a sunny personality that he looks like he's the happiest-go-luckiest dog in the whole world. He makes me smile more myself.

Congratulations to you and Herbie! There is nothing like a dog to make life better. I'm so happy for you both, and he is absolutely adorable.

Aw, Herbie and I love you right back.

AW!
LOVE your highlights, too...

xoxoxo

How cute are you two? I am happy that you both have each other.

oh my god, I love him! He looks a lot like the dog we had growing up, a shih-tzu called Rgyal.
