Talk to the Goat

So, is Lucille going by herself, or is Rory going with her?

Hey! Finally a post that doesn't make me feel like a lecherous lurker.

And "it" didn't move even once.

Okay, that was lecherous. Sorry.

I hope you don't miss your friend and/or her truck too much. Sounds like something you needed (or still need?).

Travel safely Lucille. Come back soon!

I think I would have liked Lucille.

Sad but friends do leave at some point in life. LOL.. Ok just kidding with you. Hope you dont miss both of them to much. Now are you moving away because you said boxes with your name on them for kitchen and so forth...

I've never heard of a drink called "clear skies". What's in it? The name would suggest it has everCLEAR and SKYy vodka.

trucks and cars can mean a lot, when you've spent some good times in them. i think i need to name my hammock

How sad. I hope you find someone like Rory and Lucille. Or at least Rory again soon.

I say you mark one box "Jamie" and crawl inside!

It's always difficult to say goodbye, so why not change it to 'Aurevoir'?

Adventure!!!!!!!!

A very perceptive young woman once wrote: "Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end."

ahhhh.

all my best moments came in a mustang driving down a dark road

This is awfully sweet.

aw, hope Lucille's not moving too far away!

Built 4 backseats-- funny. I'm more comfy in the bed.

really sweet post :>)

There's something in us, isn't there, that makes us want to give names and spirits to inanimate objects. We grow so close to them that they go from being tools to becoming friends, accomplices. I know I've named my last three motorcycles after women who have done me wrong.

So what's wrong with THAT picture?

I can't wait to read the next chapter!

Lucille? Rory Gallagher? Very guitar-lasting post. It's all fun until Keith comes along and shraddles away ...

Cheers my lov'ly, it's life, we're moving.

Erg... i can't shake this..

"you picked a fine time to leave her, Lucille"...

Twang, twang.

Sorry, bears no reflection on my usual music listening, I PROMISE!

Quite a truck she was! But all godd things come to an end and all good cars get sold

Sad/sweet post Jay, so are YOU moving?

Gord felt the same way when he said good-bye to the Senorita in the spring of 2004.

Lovely story. You get to keep them both in your lives, no matter how far they go.

So where are you moving to?

Oh and I had a t-shirt made that says:
Front: Sex Appeal will Get you Everywhere...

Back: Especially Backseats!

John hates it because it reminds him of my whoring days, I love it for the same reasons

I thought of the same thing as deeleea.

Happy trails to Lucille! And may you soon find another like her.

I never get attached to cars, but I love my truck. Nice story

Our car, Tibby, might be close to death ... it saddens me ... it has an ass-dent in the roof from a cable guy who fell on it ... it added character ... it's in the shop right now ... I hope it's nothing serious.

well hopefully at some point you and lucille...and quite possibly Rory can be reunited for more adventures.

Ya know, Rory is a chick name to me.

And sure rub in the truck stuff, since you Canucks can afford the gas

what kind of truck is she.
the older the better.

Sory about the friend going away, but you need to do the same. Time to head somewhere bigger.

That small town will drown you.

Yes, I certainly aim to be moving, as well....right now we're headed in different directions, but it's possible we'll end up in the same place. Does that even make sense?

I feel sad now. I will eat a turtle cookie.

Travel safe Lucille!
How far are they going?

I feel for you. All of my friendships have a built-in revolving door, it seems. Everyone just moves on, while I stay waiting for the next person to start the door a'turnin'.

Lucille sounds like a real princess. When I was a kid, I had a bbq under someones Lucille and was grounded for two weeks. Life's funny that way.

I'm upset that I didn't think of the name Lucille for a truck first. Not that I have a truck, but if I did...

I woke up this mornin'
Lucille was not in sight
I asked my friends about her
But all their lips were tight
- Little Richard

I've got a big black truck too. Hope she doesn't disappear one night like Lucille. Just in case, I got her a chapperone name Lawrence Jack (LoJack for short).

Maybe Lucille will meet my Violet there. I loved Violet. She was a good SUV. But Violet ate fuel like a fat girl's ass devours underwear. It just wasn't meant to be...

Yeah, heartbreaking. After more than 10 days even the sweetest truck turns into a pile of Blech.
Time to crank the engine, hit the throddle and move on: Suck my gum, sniff my pipe, git loaded ... or what? Cheerio ...

What a great name for a truck!
