You know all of those celebs will be the first to hightail it out of there when all the smashy- smashy starts, only to come back after things have calmed down to "help" with the recovery effort for PR points and media attention, and to howl about alleged police brutality against the protestors.
Though, that could be amusing to watch if Sean Penn is involved, since his disaster- exploiting photo ops have the tendency to completely backfire on him (i.e. His "boat rescue" incident in New Orleans).

General, Sean Penn says he knows you're really "that fucking hack Post reporter Kevin Vaughan" (hey, I didn't tell him), and if he sees you at the DNC he's going to kick your ass.

Yeah, anon, just like a Super Bowl, except half the fans are anarchist pyromaniac sociopaths. Oh, wait a minute . . .

And no, the NFL is too nimsy-wimsy to have a Super Bowl in an undomed stadium where it might actually snow.

deja vu. I was at this, or down the block, but my greatest focus at the time was this really bitchy lady in a wheelchair who was making these demands. I was just 20 and had only offered a ride to LA, but when we got there, I ended up being her attendant. So the police started both blocking those fans into a parking lot so they couldn't leave, and shooting at them and trying to disperse them with horses, and I was trying to think of a way to ditch her, but couldn't quite do it in the midst of that so it was like "now drive me to Van Nuys"
