Where those flags are now?
Those flags trashed by the democrats from the DNC were waved at the "Road to Victory Rally" in Colorado Springs, and taken home by Americans who respect them (I have 6).
I must admit these are the cheapest American Flags that I have ever seen. That also says something about the Democrats that the articles do not mention. But, if you knew ahead of time that you were not going to use them a second time, I guess cheap is what you would be after.

Somewhere somebody claimed the flags were made in the US, but I can't find any identifying marks on them at all, which makes me doubtful.

I mean you really have to go for the story John to get it.
Recently I found a woman that works with a woman I have lunch with once a month or so, that has a Tricar (3 wheeled gas efficient hybrid). I said, who owns that car? She said Sarah. I gave her my card and said have Sarah call me I would love to talk to her about what she likes about that car. Well she didn't call so I called my friend and said I REALLY want to talk to her about her car. She said she would give her my home phone number and have her call me. She didn't call so I drove by the parking lot to see if the car was there to at least get the make and model (which I had neglected to write down. It wasn't. So I decided to go into her work place and confront her.
I barged up to her desk, and shouted Sarah what do you like about your DAMN car! She immediately screamed and started crying. Security came and dragged me away. The Springfield cops came and took me to jail. I spent 2 hours in the slammer until Cate could bail me out and I have a court date. BUT - I got to write the headline:
Woman's loves he Tricar so much it moves her to tears
(I briefly consider - Woman screams over the ride of her car - but I thought it was too sexual)
You gotta get in there and get dirty.

Were they going to be retrieved for future use or were they going to be thrown away? Either way, somebody screwed up. Leaving them near trash for a week doesn't say "good caretaking" to me. If they are made of cloth and wood and were to be discarded, the "Greenest Ever DNC" put compostable materials in plastic bags which would designate them to go to a landfill.

Well, I believe there's some argument over where they were headed, Laurie, but yep, somebody screwed up. Greenest (and most patriotic!) convention ever.
Actually what I don't get is why people didn't save every one of those flags. I kept mine, obviously, and so did my buddy. That and the holographic badges (with the upside-down flag, you'll remember) are the two things you'd want to save (though I also bought a "souvenir" medium cup of Pepsi for $5).
