I see DBAB Central has also picked up on Carroll today (right around the same time, too.... we must subscribe to the same Google alerts); Churchill's dog, Benjie, even has a kind word for you and me.
I'd feel honored, but I look at a compliment from Benjie the same way I view getting the clap for Christmas: it might be the thought that counts, but I'd just as soon he'd kept it to himself.
Ben gives 65% of his students an A? I suppose in Ethnic Studies, everyone is their own special snowflake. The women are strong, the men are good-looking, and the children are all above average.
Yeah, that could be it. Or it could just be a strategy that Ben uses to avoid grading. Give them all As, and let God sort 'em out. Meanwhile, less work for Benjamin having to actually read those term papers.
I don't think Benji was complimenting either Mr. Paine or Mr. Martin. I think he was trying to drive a wedge between you bloggers and Vince Carroll.
Mr. Carroll's paper published all those articles that expose many of the points that ended up being examined by the committees of professors.
