Just to be clear, I used the term "photographic evidence", not "proof".

Just to be clear, I was making insinuations about him, not your post.

Dick humor? Come now. My pants were not even pulled down.
Hey, I talked to the Appleton City Atty today and in sum, McMahon struck out.
And to paraphrase my response left on McMahon’s blog:
I felt it was my duty to produce this depiction to contribute to Joe McCarthy being remembered in infamy and disgrace for the contemptible public harm he has disingenuously caused.
McMahon’s legal analysis is off as there is no prosecutable violation of the municipal code from the evidence that he cites.
I do admire his trying though; the law should be examined and critiqued by lay people for whom after all the law exists.
McMahon’s larger point, as implied, is arguable. FYI, within two days of his posting, some 14 visits to my site at http://malcontends.blogspot.com/ came from Appleton. Maybe Birchers, maybe the City Atty’s office, who knows.
Maybe right-wing know-nothings to whom the depiction is anathema to some private taboo morality.
A wise friend once said to me, “Even the worst of us should have some modicum of peace and dignity when we have succumbed to that ultimate indignity, the grave. … I say, ‘Never offend with style when you can offend with substance.’”
Interesting point.
I disagree. But I do allow that one would have to sink to an extreme level of infamy in life to merit such a depiction as pissing on one’s grave in death.
As the radical pacifist A.J. Muste once said: "If you can't love Hitler, you can't love anybody." Same sentiment as what my wise friend cited.
I do recommend others’ ensuring a healthy level of uric acid on the ground at the late Joe McCarthy’s grave at St. Mary's Cemetery (2121 W. Prospect Ave, along the Fox River), as they see fit, in accordance with appropriate laws and ordinances.
How about McMahon?
Does he admire this McCarthy the coward? He won't say, the cowardly soul.
As for the possible urine stream, only God and unholy Joe know for sure.
Though it's conceivable Roy Cohn is in the know as well, contemplating his sins from the fiery depths of hell.
But I do admit to being a fellow traveler and have read numerous books on labor history. Hell, I think Harry Bridges was a great American.
Wonder if I have any shots somewhere dancing on McCarthy's grave. I could meet you there sometime.
Peace.
