If it makes you feel any better, my parents (in Northern Wisconsin) use a wood stove, have no backup heating, and are down to just 50 logs (as of two days ago), and my mom is 8 1/2 months pregnant (yes, I'm a college graduate and have a mom who's pregnant). My dad woke up the other day and said he was happy with how warm it was, then went to work. It was 60 degrees.
But hey, I'll still wish you luck with your furnace....
It does a little, Joey, and then I just get jealous of them again. The guy across the street from me has a wood stove. When he sees me, he likes to remind me of how little it cost him to heat his house this winter (he buys some wood and cuts some of his own). Meanwhile, my Gas & Electric bill has doubled this winter.
