Gravatar I would encourage folks to vote for Governor Mike Huckabee in the primary.
I don't agree with him on everything, but he has grown the right way on federal taxes, border security and the idea of the Nanny state during this election. He is a very eloquent spokesman on the cost of social fragmentation to our children. He won't be our candidate, but his voice makes us better as a party and movement.

Gravatar What a shame, and what a disappointment. Be certain you really want that for which you wish.

Gravatar If Obama is the democrat candidate, any questions raised about his plans, background, previous votes, etc. will be met with cries of racism by the media.

There will be no way to question Obama without feeding the racist themes.

Gravatar If you don't want Hillary to be the next president, then do not cross-over and vote for her in the primary. All polls indicate that the Dems are likely to take back to the White House this year - Wisconsin could be the push Obama needs to stop Clinton once and for all. CROSSOVER TO CLINTON AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Gravatar Politics as usual. No wonder this country is in the mud. Watch out -- continue using deceitful strategies and we will not only continue the partisan bickering and never work for the people, but there will be dire consequences around the world. U.S. isolationist. No allies. We stand alone weakened and waiting for the terrorists to grow and millions of innocent people are dying and the end will come sooner than later.

What ever happened to decency, honesty and integrity? Vote your conscience. Live with yourself when our country is in turmoil or worse.

Gravatar I am one of the hopefully many conservatives who voted in the Democratic primary today.

Sometimes strategy doesn't always work out, but Hillary Clinton, I think, is definitely the lesser of two Democratic evils if a Democrat was elected. At least we're knowing what we're getting with Clinton, and at least she can't play the race card when Republicans run attack ads. She is a much more polarizing figure.

Another little thing that makes me more assured about Hillary losing the general election is that the only female group she won in Iowa is the 60+ years old. Women have absolutely visceral reactions when it comes to Hillary Clinton. I always use suburban mom vote as an example. They refuse to vote for her no matter who the other candidate is. Come election day, I think that you would see a lot more women, particularly suburban moms, voting Democrat if Obama was the nominee, many who would probably have voted Republican solely for the reason that they hated Hillary. I definitely think McCain will have a much easier time beating Hillary Clinton over Barack Obama.

I also see voting in the Democratic primary as keeping the Democrats busy while McCain gains momentum to officially securing the nomination so he can unite the party. A brokered convention ad a split party are exactly what the Republicans need right now. So even if Obama eventually gets the nomination, we might not all know for a few months, while McCain can work on garnering more support from conservatives, the party and among the nation.
