The tragic shootings at Virgina Tech show once again that gun control is an absolute failure. When students and faculty are denied the right to carry arms in order to defend themselves, they become no more than sheep waiting for slaughter. The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence continually spreads lies, misiniformation, and emotional rhetoric to try and prevent law-abiding people from exercising their God-given right to self-defense. Do not listen to these despicable Brady people, for their work serves only to make people victims.

Here's mine:
I learned to shoot at the age of 11; went duck hunting with my father, the local YMCA had a rifle range, as did the summer camp I went to that year. The High-school I went to had an indoor range as well. At the age of 52, I have 41 years of experience with firearms, and if any other student had a gun that terrible day, I'm certain there would be far fewer parents mourning. "Gun-Free Zones" are the most dangerous places to be; criminals like to carry out their heinous acts where they know there will be time before they are stopped. MORE GUNS=LESS CRIME
Now that it's a week later, as I'm reading this post I realize, if someone had been armed and ready to defend themselves against this nutjob, we'd be reading about this shooting on the back page of the paper, not the front. It'd be just like the other times when folks have used guns defensively to stop a attacker; buried in the paper, barely mentioned on the TV and radio news, another blurb on the NRA magazine's "Armed Citizen" page, only noted by those whose passion is gun rights and ownership. It'd be dismissed and ignored by the gun-grabbers, as usual.
