As a teenager, and even as a 39 year old adult- my father, under no circumstance would have ever spoken to any of us this way- His fighting with other people and on his job were one thing- Alex has no respect for anyone except himself- the whole conversation was about him- he has no right to parenting. The emotional scars this can leave on a child are horrendous, and his ability to speak to her in anyway in the future should be revoked. Who's the pig?

Being a "Hollywood elite" and all the presumed omniscence that comes from such a "position" based upon roles he has played as "smart and powerful men", he can only assume himself to be a demi-god or something, and all his wishes must come to being, or elee he is gonna be one pissed off mudfuk.

Some folks would call it the "grown up as an infant" syndrome, i.e. adult arrognat temper tantrum.
