I guess that law enforcement would have to shoot me in order to get me to hand over my gun if I were in a situation like Hurricane Katrina.
Not to mention, everyone knows that the New Orleans police are corrupt and evil.
I hadn't heard about "officials" taking guns away from law-abiding citizens!
I hope that the NRA finds a way to sue the pants off of someone.

Here's one we DO agree on, UAW man. And, like you, I've been connected to law enforcement (in the family..including my wife, an ex-Chief of Police. Sadly, Cara is off base when she says the N.O. is corrupt and evil. Of course they've got their bad apples (like all employee forces of anything dealing with the public) but ninety-nine percent of them do exactly what they're trained to do: 'Protect and Serve'.
BTW, I heard old Bill say he was going to get himself a gun and learn to use it; about the only smart thing he's said in years.
I'm glad the NRA was able to get the injunction so quickly, and the order to have the confiscated guns returned to their proper owners. This had me so hopping mad!!!!!! MUST.BUY.NEW.GUN!
If I hadn't been to anti-hippy-protests all weekend, I'da had me a new Mini-14 by now. Maybe tomorrow...

You realize, when we run out of 'murikins to shoot, then we switch brands to Canadians.

Gun confiscation is an evil violation of the Constitution, and it is exactly what I expect from flaming liberals like the ones running New Orleans. Isn't violating the US Constitution grounds for impeachment?

Perhaps I was a tad rash in my sarcasm about disarming the hurricane victims. They should have been allowed to shoot at the hurricane in order to save their own lives. I fell so ashamed of myself.
