Normally Pete, I wouldn’t respond to someone who begins a sentence with "golly" but in your case, I'm willing to make an exception. I have no doubt that had you been in a position of authority in New Orleans’s everyone would have been safe and nothing would have faltered. It is a grave unfortunate circumstance for the people of New Orleans, that instead, you were watching CNN.
The author of this site pastes a picture and everyone accepts it as gospel without questioning it authenticity, nor does he mention the comedy of errors that transpired during the ‘faultless’ second evacuation. It is clear to me that all the Monday Morning Quarterbacks are wasting their talents reading blogs instead of saving civilians from their doom and school buses from their submersion.

Actually, I got all my news of the events in New Orleans, and Louisiana, from the folks that work for me who live there. I prefer to get my news from the sources rather the "reporters" who soundbite them to death.
It is, indeed too bad that I wasn't in charge down there ... just think, I could have done what all you libbies believed was happening .... crushed the bodies of the poor under my tank treads .... mwaaahahahaha.
The comedy of errors (I have family in East Texas, so I don't have to depend on CNN or any other rumor-amplifying sites) in Texas didn't actually include waiting until after the hurricane to order evacuations. It could have done better ... especially if those armchair quarterbacks in the LLL had been in charge .... they could have evacuated folks to Lake Charles or some other safe haven.
