Is it really fair to compare disasters from so long ago with today? Couldn't it be that the death tolls from yesteryear were higher because they did not have the satellites, etc, we have now to gauge the strength of storms, because many people did not have the cars back then to drive away from the storms (horses can only go so fast), etc.? Doesn't sound to me the comparisons are quite fair given the advances in technology.
They were still very powerful storms, death rates aren't the only measures.

In Canada, instead of actors doing the weather, we have these people called Meteorologists, I know we’re not as advanced as the US with stuff, but we’re aspiring to reach your heights so one day, we too, can have actors doing the weather here as well.
Someone should tell her that global warming is caused by all of that hot air seeping out of the heads of Hollywood actors like Sean Penn, Jane Fonda, and herself.
