I must admit I was dismayed and indeed embarrassed to read some of the emails Malkin has received. I certainly would not have expected any racial slur from people on my side of the political spectrum. That said, it is the height of stupidity to suggest that there are no leftists but hateful, racist, and retarded ones. And for the record, publishing the telephone numbers of the students involved in the protest was a very low move by Malkin.

I explained that I had to get it to be able to ban harassing trolls. He commented that he never had problems with trolls. Well, duh, conservatives don't go around harassing liberals. We have better things to do with our time.
The standard of the left is funny, they call conservatives racists for wanting to stop something "illegal" by definition. Then of course use racial slurs when they get ticked at someone like Malkin.

What you need is to learn a little bit of logic, and to exercise it. It is neither the case that being a racist entails supporting hate crime laws, illegal immigration, gun control, and affirmative action, nor is it the case that the converse holds.

I did read Malkin's posts, and I found her explanation simply not compelling. It is not quite the same for X and Y to release their contact information within a geographic or online community, and it is an entirely different thing for Z to publish that information for the perusal of people who will likely threaten the lives of X and Y. Z's action is morally suspect at best. This applies whether Z is Michael Moore (who did exactly the same thing), Michelle Malkin, or Michelle Malkin's detractors.
It is a travesty that people have published her information online for her enemies to abuse, just like it is a travesty for Michelle to have disseminated the contact information of these kids (whatever one may think of their politics) to the extreme right-wing. She should have known better, and a good number of thoughtful conservatives have come out and said as much. (See, *I* don't like to throw epithets and incredibly stupid generalizations about groups of people, unlike *some* people.)

Either way, this kind of behavior is totally and completely indefensible. Makes me so angry.
Patriotette: I have never visited your blog, but I happen to think that visiting the blogs of one's political opponents is certainly not indefensible behavior. As for publishing the contact information of one's political opponents in a blog, that shows contemptible callousness in my book, whether the person who does it is Michelle Malkin or the hate-filled opponent who posted her information online.
