Germany, both pre-nazi and post-nazi, has held abortion to be a grave matter, allowing it only in the case of medical danger to the mother. German social and legal opinion is not tied to nazi thought.
As far as the USSR, my parish had a guest priest visiting from Vladivostok who said that the average woman there used to have eight abortions over her lifetime, to illustrate the need for re-Christianization of that country. I looked it up to see if he was fudging the numbers to make the situation look worse than it was, and his number is on the low side - some sites say the number is closer to 12!
Modern Russia's population pyramid is all screwed up, and will implode over the next couple of decades, leaving a gap for the muslims to their south to flood in with their high birthrates and take over. Look at the US abortion rate, and see how the number mirrors the number of illegals coming in. The reason we don't have Americans in those jobs is because they were killed off.
