Enlighten Me! :) |
The USSR was like this. |
You voted for these whack jobs, not me! I live 20 minutes from Canada and have been going there since I was 6. I had to get a passport to keep doing that. Also, a year ago I got a letter from the VA saying "oops, we lost a laptop with your SSN, etc on it. We won't pay to get you ID theft protection, but recommend that you do it". Jimmy, I used to be a staunch Republican, but these guys running things now can't shit in a paper sack without getting it on thier hands! I really am not excited about the Democrats, but I just can't vote for these Neo-Cons who stand up there screaming "why do you hate freedom?" while taking more and more of it away every day. My kid just got her license. Did you know that if she gets caught smoking a CIGARETTE (a TOBACCO cigarette) that she could have it suspended until she is 18? Come on! This is not America! When will people wake up? |
I'm not doing it. |
I prefer the tattoo. We could be like X-Men! I call Wolverine!!! |
No fair! |
Tim, the dems voted to take away those freedoms, too. |
Plus, what rights are safe when they violate your 2nd amendment ones? |
Yes, I live in Michigan, but those laws were proposed and passed by REPUBLICAN Sec. of State (Teri Lynn Land), and a REPUBLICAN state house and senate. Jenny may not have vetoed them, but she didn't dream them up, either. I'm no fan of Grandholm, she endlessly anaylizes and never acts. But to blame the Democrats because the REPUBLICANS don't how to do anything but make more and more things illegal and put everyone in jail for disobeying some bulls**t law that doesn't do jack to protect people but gives them the ability to say they "did something". Sorry for going off, I'm kind of in a bad mood. |
Crazy. I won't play along. |
The Patriot Act et al were bi-partisan efforts, Tim. |
Sooo I guess we agree that there are a bi-partisan group of sh8theads running the country, and in particular, my state, into the ground. Man, I just got back from our field service shindig in Vail and am wondering why I am still hanging in there in MI. It's great out there and they have pay pay peeps $10 an hour just to work in McDonalds! Great scenery, 3% unemployment, 300 sunny days a year, man, are we just too stooopid in the midwest or what? |
Yes, Tim. |
I wouldn't have a problem with standardizing every states Drivers License so they all look and work the same way as long as the States were the ones doing the issuing, not the Feds. Jerk...Chertoff is right on one point: Terrorists need papers to move around. My buddy ran a fake Drivers Lisc. scheme back in high school. Back then it was so we could get into bars and drink. PA licenses were incredibly easy to fake. A white sheet, some stencils and a Polaroid and you were in biz. 2 for $50 bucks. |
um..u would think they would deport the illegals and terrorists in our midst but noooooooooooooooo...ack! what a way to start my day Jimmy..ha! |
geez, jimmyb, what a way to start a week, with news like this!! that's ok, i still luvya... |
RFID Chips. Barcodes on the back of the neck. Tattooed numbers on the forearm. Does anyone see where this is headed? |
I have to agree with Tim. I head over to Canada often, and the "security" is just amazing. I don't think Mike Vick was grilled as bad by the authorities. |
I'm so not down with the federal ID plan. Is that like that number that you can't buy or sell without? That's pretty bad when you get that from an atheist. |
Yes, FIAR, it seems I've read about that somewhere... |
Alright, funs fun but there is only ONE Captain America, AND THAT'S ME! (see my homepage) |
"They need to know where you are to keep you safe." |
Eventually there can be two outcomes. Either all of the states in rebellion will be strong-armed by the federal government by having their citizens relegated to second-class status in many areas, or so many states will openly rebel against Real ID that the program will simply have to collapse and be redone as a federal ID card that doesn't need state input. |
All this ID checking is horse-shit. People who want to blow shit up are usually able to get a passport. |
I agree with you, Kim. |
