Enlighten Me! :)

Jimmyb, being in customer service, I can identify with Don. Sounds like the folks at Midway know what kind of reps to hire! Good for them.

Sucks for you that Graf and Sons can count, eh? Of course, you could LOSE a piece of brass and claim it was never there... but that would be dishonest...

Happy loading!

"Sounds like the folks at Midway know what kind of reps to hire!"

Some of the credit also has to go to the people forming policy; many times a representative knows how to do a good job, but is hamstrung by lousy company policy formulated by bean counters somewhere far away, who know nothing about the customers or the product.

I usually buy online from Cabela's. They usually have the best prices.

I love it when there's good customer service. USAA is pretty good, as are the people at AllThingsJeep.com.

The worst I've ever gotten was the FAFSA people, who, not incidentally, were government employees.

And that is how to stay in business.

No, the worst is Verizon Wireless, specifically their Broadband dept. The other night (Sunday early AM), they cut off their EVDO signal, and when I was sure that it was an outage and not my PDA, I called in at oh dark thirty. The customer service rep at 611 first was polite, telling me that she couldn't tell what was happening because the IT dorks had cut their internal link to IT at the same time, but then when I asked for a number to IT, she balked, then became really pissy. I asked for a supervisor, and when said supe came on, I asked her what part of their contract permitted intentional outages of service (for which I pay %60/mo) without notice or rebate. She then starts ranting at me "you don't know our contract, I know our contract" etc. And I got her name and later filed a complaint with the OR PUC, which is in bed with them and won't do jack, but a least they'll have to have a manager write a reply to the complaint notice.

BTW, coupla months ago, Starline brass in almost ALL calibers was mighty hard to come by at all the discount sellers.

I just created a Midway account because I wanted some Pearce grips for my Makarov. The blinking shipping and handling doubled the price. I guess it's better when you buy bulk items. Ouch. Guess I'll have to look for a local source.

Good for them. At the very least, the probably still broke even, and even if they didn't, they saved a customer which is worth it. Since we're looking to buy some guns before 2009 rolls around, we might have to go give them a look.
