Re: the 13.8KVAC transformer. I've seen several of the associated circuit breakers thrown after transformer repairs, and they ALL energized the circuit with a huge BANG! Hi-line guys I was watching said it was normal.

Perhaps when that is normal when they are outside.

This is inside, and was assuredly NOT normal (two cables wore through and shorted to the enclosure/ground).
