In the section of your post that contains the link "What about MY culture?", I have the following observation: a gent named Serge Trifkovic has published "The Sword of the Prophet: Islam..." where he advances an answer to your question, "Why are libs so eager to lavish special treatment upon Muslims?".
His answer [and mine] is that the libs are so blindly hateful of Western/Judeo-Christian culture that they buy the rhetorical pap which suggests that Islam is a religion of tolerance. This is BUNK of the worst sort, and may well lead those false believers into a future in which they will prostrate themselves 5 times a day to the eastern monster or feel the scimitar of Islamic hate as it slices through their flesh.
