I figure the police could maybe get invovled. These kinds of people need to be smacked down as hard as possible.

Nah. I've not seen anything illegal involved. He's just an infantile, gay porn-addicted jerk misusing his computers and internet. If his IP providers and/or employer deal with him, that's fine by me. Even if they don't. blocking him (and his laughable attempts to spam my email) is an extremely simple matter. I could do it in my sleep.

Admittedly off-topic but did you happen to see this?

Bizarre, but not surprising. It's bizarre that the ADL is defending Hitler after a fashion, but not surprising that they're siding with the evolutionists.

How do you figure they are defending Hitler? If anything they are placing the blame squarely on his shoulders.

Saying Hitler used Darwinism to justify his slaughtering the Jews places the blame squarely on his shoulders, too.
Unless, of course, you want to argue that saying Hitler used Christianity to justify the same is not placing the blame squarely on his shoulders. No? Didn't think so.

What do you think is one of the primary causes of antisemitism today?

Stupidity. Actually, maybe a tie between stupidity and ignorance.

You don't think Christianity has anything to do with it?

I think Christianity has been and is being misused by stupid, ignorant people to justify their hate.

Agreed, but could the Holocaust have happened if Hitler didn't have the idea of the Jews being "Christ-killers" to work with?

I've had a couple of classes on Christian history. Anti-semitism came from Christians. Martin Luther wrote a book called "On the Jews and Their Lies" near the end of his life in which he recommends burning down jewish establishments and violence. It's a pretty intensely sinister book.

Anti-Semitism existed long before Luther and even long before the Christian era, DSHP. I didn't have to take a couple of classes to know that.

I think Hitler was smart, ruthless and charismatic enough to achieve his ends no matter what.

Starbix: that was one of many ploys, but not his central theme.I did two high school theses on this, as the entire class tried to grasp how this bastard managed to mesmerise an entire nation.
What it came down to was the old science and ploy of the scapegoat.
You have to remember that Germany had been belted across the chops several times..the Versailles Treaty had created the Danzig Corridor and Poland, sundered the Saarland and removed a lot of Germany's "breadbasket".
The reparations part of the treaty was bad enough...but that added to the destruction of their industries and then the Depression was almost too much.
The Versailles Treaty was the allies thinking "now, now" not "later, later"..had they done so, they would have realised what that part of the treaty would do to their economy. Germany was starving, poor, crippled, their national pride gone.
So he gave them a scapegoat, someone to hate for all they had been through, someone to blame. The Jews profited from the war, the Jews are rich, the Jews dont fight....and then a gradual and sbtle campaign and propaganda campaign to dehumanise and demonise them, turn them into an object of scorn and hatred. Oh he used the Christ meme, quite right...but that was one thread in a tapestry of hate designed to focus the Germans rage and turn it in on the Tripartite Alliance.
That made the Nuremberg Laws possible..by which time the hatred of Jews was almost a national "religion" in and of itself, founded on the bedrock of German "racial purity".
You lost your job?> Blame a Jew. Your bicycle was stolen? A Jew took it, they are all thieves...until it became a subconscious phobia...an unreasoning, unrelenting fear and loathing of something "unclean" and "festering"..I don't know what the German phrase is, but one of the campaign and propaganda themes I saw repeated many times was "The Jews are our affliction"..almost as if they were a disease.
A disease to be cut out of German life completely...you see how insidious this gets? It was racial hatred on a national scale turned into an almost reverential worship of pure Aryan blood "that shall not be defiled by Jewish filth"...
..and that in the end was another reason the camps were even possible and that such an atrocity could be made to happen with the peoples willing..almost fervently joyous...participation.
It is easy to kill when the object of your hatred is not a person in your eyes...and if you believe that what you kill is a disease, a thing of revulsion and filth, then the act of killing is almost a "duty" in itself.
That's a basic thumbnail of the psychology behind it. Evil beyond measure, and beyond description.
Never again.
