There is nothing in the article that says Discount Mats is a liberal-run business. Some conservatives also oppose the war in Iraq, and while I'll agree that whoever wrote that letter is a complete heartless jerk, you're sort of jumping the gun in assuming DM is some kind of liberal outpost.
