This is really sad. I run into this kind of thing alot. When I point out to someone that legalized abortion has hurt women and made them into sex objects, I am always brushed off.
I really wish these "choicers" could see what the choice has done to women.
Not all of us pro-choicers assume that unplanned children are not loved and have indifferent parents. As for being haunted, that's not an uncommon reaction among young teens. Interestingly, I see that the percentage of abortion for those under 18 fell. Keep in mind that the stigma of illegitimacy is pretty much gone, so maybe more are carrying to term.

Certainly, many unplanned children are loved nontheless. But it people don`t want a child, to the extent that they kill it utero before it develops, how would being forced to bear it instead make anything better?

I'd guess that many parents would discover and develop this crazy thing called love when they see their son or daughter.
Not all of us do, J. One reason I never want another baby is that I am pretty confident I wouldn`t be able to feel any love for it at all, just an overwhelming sense of it being a burden.
I honestly felt no love for my other children for several months after they were born.
But you did develop love for them eventually, correct? It may not have been immediately but it still happened.
Don't you think it is likely or at least plausible that a mother and father will eventually develop love for a child they initially didn't want?
