In the beginning, my answer was fairly abstract, philosophical. I'd note that the "I" who stands before them is not the "I" that was once a fetus.
Glad she gave up that line of argument, as it's irrational.
As you note, it's easy for Kissling to say she would have wanted to be aborted so that her mother would (theoretically) have been happier. (Every bit as likely, her mother would have grieved her loss her entire life).
It's also easy, and dangerously wrong, for people to say that because they would want to be killed under certain circumstances, we can therefore make that choice for others. That's how we end up killing people with disabilities, unborn children who would be born into poverty, and other vulnerable persons.

When I read the stuff Kissling puts out, I realize that there HAS TO BE SUCH A PLACE AS HELL, because a mind like that could flourish noplace else.
