I know it's not realistic, but the idea of Figgins' glove at third, and OBP/speed between Span and Mauer, makes me too happy to think about for very long.

I would be nice to see Figgins at 3B but we have Valenica knocking at the door. I can handle Punto or Harris at 3B for the beginning of the season if Danny would be ready come June 1st.

I thin=k Josh hit it spot on with the Lopez take, O. Hudson could fill that role that as well.

Can't wait to see what happens over the next 5 months.

Right on Josh!

I've been on the Lopez bandwagon for awhile, even at the trading deadline, and my enthusiasm for him hasn't gone away.

We could then plug Punto at 3B until Valencia is ready (he could be a bench bat down the stretch and take over once Punto's contract expires at the end of this year if nothing else...)

Lopez is the best available 2B. His defense, eye, and athleticism would be a huge boost in the lineup and on the field. The Twins are in a win now mode and need two additional pickups besides Hardy. Lopez is one and Harden is the other. Payroll is still under 100 and the three new players allow the younger players an opportunity to learn in the minors, something Young and Gomez never were allowed to do.
