How long before the moonbats start saying the looting in New Orleans is caused by Bush's mishandeling of the race relations and the Tax cuts for the rich?
HAHAHAHA! I actually thought about that "tax cuts for the rich" angle, too! 
Today I had an argument about government insurance (subsidies) for risky beachfront property. This quickly turned into an accusation that the republicans redirected the mississippi river, which is in turn destroying the wetlands in louisiana, which posed a natural barrier against such disasters. Thus, the hurricane destruction is the the fault of the republicans. Jonathan, how about a post on that?
I think it's safe to say that if someone wants to live at the beach, he/she is taking a risk that a hurricane could wipe out their homes. That's why they pay through the nose for homeowner's insurance. Obviously it is NOT the job of the government to pay (either partially or fully) for people to live at the beach.
I live about 25 miles inland from the beach, and I wouldn't expect the government to pick up the slack if a hurricane hit me. Heck, two of them dropped on top of me last year, but I never asked for nor expected any government subsidies.
LMAO! :D I've got to admit, Kira, that must be one of the craziest kook conspiracy theories I've ever heard. "Redirected the river"? As if it were even possible! And if it were, why a red state like Louisiana? I mean, you could make a case for deep blue states like California or Massaschusetts, but not a reliably red one like Louisiana!
If I can find a link to that kind of moonbat lunacy, then yes, ma'am...I will post.
