This just shows the true democratic feelings toward our military, that they are a bunch of unintelligent bafoons who want to go off and rape pillage and burn. He was able to deflect his comments from his senate testimony over 30 years ago, I truely hope this comes back to haunt him.
Anyone wanna bet he tries to deny this was actually directed toward our troops. His defense will probably be if you don't have an education you will be forced to work for contractors in dangerous territories, like Iraq

I posteed about this quote today, also. My closing comment was that I hope I-John-Kerry somehow takes the Democratic Presidential nomination away from Hillary so I can watch him get his ass handed to him again in a national election. The kindest thing I can say about I-John-F-ing-Kerry is that he is an oxygen thief, and I would advise him to stop stealing right now!

DJ - You nailed it. Kerry's first statement claimed his comments were aimed at Bush, not the military. Now his second statement is passing it off as a "joke".

Now he's saying he "won't apologize for criticizing the Bush administration" and that the Republicans have "twisted his words".
Not quite sure how what he said can be interpreted as anything other than a vicious swipe at our military.

All Kerry did was graduate from the Dick Durbin School of Troopbashing. Durbin the Turban slandered the reoops, then refused to back down, then backed down with a "non-apology apology".
Lurch has already slandered the troops, then refused to back down. Let's see if Lurch caves like Durbin did, albeit lukewarmly.
This post has been up for several hours now and I've finally cooled down enough to drop a comment. I have a great deal of pity for "people" like kerry. I can not believe anyone can be so consumed with envy, that they would trash their superiors. Unfortunately, this appears to be the case. The men and women serving in the Armed Forces have a few things that kerry lacks. Namely, integrity, moral character and HONOR. Those words are NOT in kerry's dictionary of life. What a pity.
